Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development - Kununurra Quarantine Yard - Replacement of Livestock Crush.

SCOPE OF WORKS

• DPIRD are seeking quotes to replace the existing livestock crush with the “Thompson Longhorn Sumo Hydraulic” (or similar approved) inclusive of all freight costs for delivery to site.

• Please note all pictures on Thompson Longhorn website have the control arm, which isn’t offered anymore.

• “Sumo Hydraulic” to include hydraulic head cradle and hydraulic control table.

• The hydraulic Sumo is powered by a 3-phase power pack, this needs to be situated close to the unit to be as effective as possible. Also to be situated under existing shelter.

• The unit is to be all steel with none of the optional timber sides.

• Include decommissioning & disposal of existing crush as per local regulations including disconnection of existing airline at compressor and fitting with appropriate ball valve. Leave poly supply line in position.

• All alterations to install to current chute/pens configuration to be included.

• Works to be scheduled with the Livestock officer so as not to interrupt operations.

• Electrical connection of three-phase hydraulic power pack to Isolation switch in new DB (SAI by others in approximate location of existing first aid box) to be included in quote

• Cables and hoses to be installed so as not to cause trip hazard.

• Provide instruction & commissioning with Livestock Officer.

A site visit will be held at Kununurra Quarantine Yards, Kununurra on 11 Sep, 2025 9:00 AM.
