Virtual Reality Training Development

⁠⁠⁠Scope of Work:

Rio Tinto Yarwun is seeking expressions of interest from qualified vendors to design, develop, and implement a suite of Virtual Reality (VR) training programs for key operational areas, including ship unloading, Wirth pump change-outs, and JPU acid washing. The objective is to deliver immersive, interactive, and site-specific VR simulations that enhance operator competency, improve safety, and reduce training-related downtime and costs. The solution should include realistic 3D environments, interactive controls, customizable scenarios, performance analytics, and be compatible with standard VR hardware. Vendors will be expected to provide end-to-end services, including software development, hardware recommendations, user documentation, pilot testing, and ongoing support.

The scope of work described is a summary of the goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto. The specific requirements may change at Rio Tinto’s absolute discretion.

Your business capability statement, as stored on your portal profile, may be downloaded, and referenced when the responses to the expression of interest are reviewed. It is recommended that suppliers review the portal business details section to ensure all information, including contact email address, annual turnover, and employee numbers, is current and accurate.           

As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, suppliers will be notified of any changes prior to award.

Your EOI response may be referenced or re-used in the next six months if a similar scope of work is required by Rio Tinto.
