Department of Fire and Emergency Services - Boyup Brook VFRS - Appliance Bay Replacement and Associated Minor Works.

SCOPE OF WORKS:

The scope of works is to provide mechanical services to the DFES - Boyup Brook VFRS - Appliance Bay Replacement and Associated Minor Works. The mechanical services consist of new passive ventilation, modification to existing mechanical general ventilation and new mechanical ventilation. 

The documented works are generally but not limited to the following:

1. Comply with AS3959 BAL-FZ provisions

2. Minor demolition works

3. Decommission, modify and recommission three (3) of existing mechanical exhaust systems. Including but not limited to removable BAL-FZ ember screens in riser ducts

4. Supply and install new make-up air to the existing wet areas

5. Supply and install three (3) of new roof mounted rotary cowls with ember screen grilles to the Appliance Bays

6. Supply and install one (1) of wall mounted exhaust fan to the BA enclosure

7. Extend existing slow combustion wood fire flue with insulated stainless steel extension and flue terminal

8. Provide detailed shop drawings and equipment selections within 4 weeks of the award of the contract for approval by the Superintendent.

9. Provide Staff training for all installed Mechanical Services.

10. Provide 52 weeks defects liability period for all mechanical services equipment from the date of Practical Completion.

11. Provide routine maintenance throughout the defects liability period in accordance with AS 3666 and AS 1851.6.

12. Provide 3 of Operating and Maintenance Manuals
