Sunwater has been developing a Reference Design for a new weir proposed to be built on the Boyne River at Cooranga, south of Mundubbera in the North Burnett region of Queensland, Australia.

At the end of 2025 Sunwater is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced design consultant to further develop the Preliminary and Detailed Design in readiness for construction activities to commence in 2027, subject to an investment decision and planning and environmental approvals.

Three (3) successful EOI Respondents will be invited to participate in a Request for Offer tender phase that is planned for release around mid-October 2025. The successful design consultant is expected to be appointed in mid-December 2025.
