Council is seeking submissions from appropriately qualified and experienced tenderers for the Construction of the Peak-Hill Road Upgrade.

This tender is for Contract No.1870409 - Construction of the Peak-Hill Road Upgrade.

The contract will be a Lump Sum utilising the NSW Government GC21 form of contract.

Peak Hill Road is presently an unsealed road and is susceptible to heavy washouts after periods of wet weather. This has resulted in significant maintenance costs over recent years.

The existing road pavement is unsealed and on a narrow alignment that is unsuitable for large freight vehicles. As such, Cabonne Council (Council) are seeking to undertake an upgrade of the existing Peak Hill Road from the Parkes/Cabonne local government area boundary to the township of Baldry. The upgrade works are proposed to include road and pavement re-alignment and widening as well as the construction of drainage and culvert upgrade works, the total extent of the works is approximately 16km.

The main objectives of the project are to enhance accessibility and travel time between Baldry and the Newell Highway through addressing drainage and alignment deficiencies and sealing of the pavement surface suitable for B-doubles carrying mining/agricultural stocks.

This project will widen and seal approximately 16 kilometres of Peak Hill Road within the Cabonne LGA.
