Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (Medicare UCCs) are funded by the Australian Government to ease pressure on emergency departments and provide Australians with more options to access urgent, non-life-threatening care at no cost.

The Australian Government has announced funding for three (3) additional Medicare UCCs in Tasmania, to be located in Sorell, Kingston and Burnie.

Primary Health Tasmania is seeking to commission capable and experienced providers to establish and deliver urgent care services in these locations.

This Request for Tender (RFT) offers an opportunity for interested providers to demonstrate their capacity and capability to deliver Medicare UCC services, with consideration given to the local context of each site.

Applicants may submit proposals for one (1), two (2), or all three (3) Medicare UCC locations. Successful applicants will be required to ensure the clinics are open and operational by December 2025.
