The works scope covers the provision of an asphalt overlay to Balfour Street and Railway Avenue in Culcairn.

Contractors should be aware of the need to maintain traffic flows during the construction period. This will necessitate traffic detours. The works will need to be staged to allow for minimum disruption to both the public and local residents accessing the businesses.

The construction will need to be undertaken in a manner that always allows pedestrian access to shops. Provision of suitable designated pedestrian routes from adjacent parking areas clear of the current work zone will need to be clearly sign-posted.

Further to this, contractors should schedule works with care. Council will consider favourably tenders that avoid disruption around long weekends or prior to the Christmas period.

Tenderers are advised that profilings produced from the milling works may be removed to the Culcairn landfill site during normal operating hours or by previous arrangement with James Waite, 0427-43 00 91.

It's expected that a tender report will be submitted to the October 2025 Council meeting.

A non-compulsory pre-tender meet will be held on site at 2pm on Tuesday September 9, 2025.

Tenderers may inspect the site at any time however attendance at the non-compulsory site meeting is encouraged and advised.
