The Central Coast Council is undertaking a lighting upgrade project at the Ulverstone Recreation Ground as part of its commitment to sustainability, operational efficiency, and improved sporting infrastructure. The existing Thorn MUNDIAL metal halide sports lighting system, fitted with GE MBIL/H 2000W lamps, has reached the end of its serviceable life and will be replaced with modern LED luminaires.

The project will deliver a modern, energy efficient LED lighting system that improves visibility, safety, and usability of the sports facility. Upgrading from metal halide to LED will reduce power consumption, maintenance needs, and long-term operational costs. Replacing the cross arms will ensure structural suitability.
