Expressions of interest for the lease of boat harbour land.

The Trust is responsible for the administration and development of 135 hectares of land known as the West Beach Recreation Reserve (the Reserve), hosting a range of sporting and recreation facilities including a foreshore, Holiday Park, Retreat, Golf Park, Skate and BMX Park, Sporting Reserves and a Boat Haven.

The Land is situated on Barcoo Road and can range from approximately 399m2 to 3,033m2 by leasing one, two or three areas of land.

The whole portion of the Land is vacant – refer Land Map A, B & C (Section 1.3 - The Boat Haven Land and Maps).

The Trust, as the freehold owner of the Land, is eager to explore EOI Submissions (Submissions) from respondents (Respondents) to develop and ultimately occupy the Land to provide complementary services to West Beach Parks as a leading integrated sport, leisure and tourism precinct in Australia for the enjoyment of current and future generations.

The Trust will be offering a lease term of a maximum of strictly twenty (20) years.

The development will complement existing Boat Haven entities and other Trust facilities, to ensure that West Beach Parks continues as a premier leisure destination. This will be subject to final approval from the Minister for Planning.
