Tender Description
DCS is consolidating both legacy contracts into a single market engagement structured around five distinct, but related service areas specified by the Statement of Requirements
Project goals
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is updating how core technology services are delivered across the NSW Government, shifting to a more flexible and modular model. This shift reflects the evolution of the existing Computing Integration Services (CIS) and Managed Network Services (MNS) contracts into a new set of targeted service areas designed to align with modern digital practices.
Historically, CIS and MNS have supported a broad range of infrastructure and network services, largely through two principal vendors. These arrangements were built around legacy, on-premises environments and traditional service management models. As DCS increases its use of cloud-native technologies and multi-cloud platforms, there is a growing need to uplift capability in areas such as cloud platform operations, FinOps (financial operations for cloud), and enterprise observability.
Scope
To support this transformation, DCS is consolidating both legacy contracts into a single market engagement structured around five distinct, but related service areas specified by the following Statement of Requirements (SoR):
1. Cloud Services
2. FinOps
3. Enterprise Observability
4. Computer Integration Services (CIS)
5. Managed Network Services
6. Firewall & Network Licensing
