Tender Description
This project is a Develop, Design and Construction tender for:
- Upgrading the existing 800EP capacity Coutts Crossing Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to Accepted Modern Technology requirements, and
- Upgrading three existing, and construction of an additional, sludge lagoon at Clarenza STP.
Tenders are required to be submitted for three options:
1. Undertaking both projects,
2. Undertaking Coutts Crossing STP only, and
3. Undertaking Clarenza STP only.
Works at the Coutts Crossing STP include, but are not limited to:
- adding chemical phosphorus removal,
- Providing upflow filtration,
- Providing ultraviolet disinfection,
- Constructing a new plant room,
- Filling the existing catch pond and tertiary pond 1 and constructing a new 100kL catch pond in the current footprint of tertiary pond 1
- Constructing a new 200kL covered irrigation storage in the footprint of the existing Tertiary Pond 2, and
- Associated earthworks, pipework, roadwork, and electrical and mechanical work.
Works at Clarenza STP include, but are not limited to:
- Reconstructing three existing sludge lagoons each of 1.5ML capacity to 2ML capacity,
- Constructing a fourth 2ML capacity sludge lagoon,
- Associated pipework, earthwork and roadworks.

A compulsory pre-tender site meeting will be held at 10:30 on Thursday 28 August, commencing at the Coutts Crossing STP (corner of Geragarow Road and Armidale Road Coutts Crossing; entrance from Geragarow Road). Attendees are required to register with the contact officer by CoB on Tuesday 26 August.
