ABOUT THE COUNCIL: The Gilgandra local government area is situated in the central west of NSW and covers an area of 4,800 square kilometres, including the township of Gilgandra and two smaller villages of Tooraweenah and Armatree.
Gilgandra Shire Council operates a single, consolidated unlicensed landfill at Gilgandra, the Gilgandra Waste Facility (GWF) with operations comprising excavated landfill cells, (and moving to future above ground cells), recycling operations of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and a Community Recycling Centre (CRC), with processing of green waste and timber, concrete and masonry, and separation for recycling of scrap metals, tyres and mattresses.
ABOUT THE QUOTATION: Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC) is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced consultants in the field of waste management to review the Gilgandra Waste Facility operations, including landfilling, stockpiling and 'front of house' and the Carlginda recycling operations to inform recommendations for improvements through an updated Long-Term Plan of Management (LTPoM). Management recommendations for the Arthursleigh Tyre Site will also form part of the review.
LOCAL PURCHASING POLICY: Gilgandra Shire Council has a local purchasing policy.
STATEMENT OF BUSINESS ETHICS: Gilgandra Shire Council will undertake this Quotation in accordance with its Statement of Business Ethics.
The Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Quotation or all or any part of a Quotation and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Quotation process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Council staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal, faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
