Hornsby Shire is a large local government area in the Sydney region, with 39 suburbs and rural localities, and is characterised by large tracts of bushland. The major town centres are located in the south of the Hornsby Shire. Within the last decade the Hornsby Shire has seen strong residential growth, particularly around the Hornsby Town Centre.

Approximately 150,000 people live in the area and the median age is 39 years. 35% of residents were born overseas. The top 5 countries of origin are India, South Korea, China, United Kingdom and Iran.

The traditional owners of the Hornsby Shire were the Aboriginal people of the Darug and Guringai language groups.

Council is now inviting Tenders for the provision of construction for the Hornsby Park Embellishments (HPE) Quarry Road Arrival Plaza.

Respondents shall attend one of the following compulsory pre-tender site visits:

1. Tuesday 19 August 2025 from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

OR

2. Wednesday 20 August 2025 from 8.30am to 9.30am.

Meeting point will be on Quarry Road, Hornsby at the Crusher Plant building.
