Log Product Loading and Haulage – Northern Regions

Provision of log product loading and haulage services to the Softwood Products Division (SPD) in the Northern Management Area, primarily from the Nundle, Nowendoc and Riamukka State Forests

Project goals

The FCNSW objectives for this solicitation are:

• Source a competent provider who can deliver the required services in
• accordance with the specifications and within the required timeframe;
• To undertake the procurement in a fair and equitable manner, consistent with the principles of transparency and accountability; and
• To deliver value for money.

Scope

Six parcels of work are detailed in the FRP. Five haulage parcels and one loading parcels. Respondents are able to submit a proposal for all parcels or selected parcels. Part parcel Responses will not be considered. The estimated annual tonne/kilometres for all haulage parcels is 34.5M tkm and there is 165,000 tonnes of logs to be loaded per annum.

Opportunity requirements

Contracts can only be awarded to appropriate legal entities that have the financial resources, and capacity, to deliver the goods or complete the services or works under the contract.

Contractors need to provide evidence that they have:

• A fully functioning Safety Management System and Environmental Management System
• Financial Capability to carry out the work
• Operational ability to carry out the work
• Willing and able to acquire all mandatory equipment with fully trained staff.
• Completed all forms.
