Woorabinda ASC: Design & Construction Services for the YWBA Airstrip Lighting project

Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council (Council) represents a discrete community in remote, central Queensland and is a local government authority covering an area 391.2 km2. The administration centre for the Council is the town of Woorabinda and is located approximately 170km south-west of Rockhampton.

It is Council’s intention to establish a Contract with a successful Tenderer to provide engineering design and construction services to complete the YWBA Airstrip Lighting Upgrade Project.

The Woorabinda Airstrip Upgrade Project is a comprehensive initiative designed to significantly upgrade the existing airstrip infrastructure including airstrip lighting. This project aims to improve the safety, 24-hour and all-weather accessibility, and operational capacity of the airstrip, thereby facilitating better service delivery, particularly in medical emergencies and essential supply transport.
