Got a bold idea for Karawara? Planning a community event in Kensington?

The City of South Perth is calling on local businesses, community groups, sporting clubs and organisations to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to help activate the City’s neighbourhoods through temporary events and activities.

From street festivals and makers markets to art installations and showcase performances, we’re looking for bold and creative ideas that inspire people to come together and connect.

EOIs open Monday 4 August

Successful applicants will receive up to $20,000 to deliver temporary precinct activations that align with our community’s vision for vibrant, welcoming and active places. Additional support may also be available, including assistance with venue hire, signage, event promotion and more.

Projects should demonstrate significant community benefit and help make the City a vibrant and beautiful place to live.

• Applications close: 1 September 2025
• Assessment period: 2–12 September 2025
• Applicants notified: 19 September 2025
