Background

The Principal seeks to establish an electrical services panel arrangement comprising of two pre-qualified service providers who are experienced, suitably qualified, with the organisational capacity to undertake a broad range of electrical services for the City of South Perth.

As an indicative guide, the successful Tenderers will have, but not limited to, the following attributes

1. Sufficient number of qualified and experienced electricians with fully equipped vehicles

2. Experienced supervisory staff / project management staff

3. an efficient communication system

4. a culture of working safely

5. a well-staffed and experienced administration support team and

6. demonstrates a First-visit problem solved customer service approach

that ensures the timely and efficient deployment of its staff/ personnel to urgent and non-urgent City requirements as well as the ability to satisfactorily undertake both complex and non-complex works.

The City of South Perth places a strong emphasis on workplace health and safety. The successful contractors must demonstrate a high level of commitment to safe working practices for both their employees and subcontractors.

The Panel will provide the City with outcomes which demonstrate value for money engagement, appropriate response times, and efficient project management and business processes to manage reactive and planned maintenance, emergency repairs, renewals and new installation works when requested by the Principal.

It is expected that the resulting contract/s will commence on 1st January 2026.

The term of the contract shall be for two years and includes options to extend the contract exercisable at the sole discretion of the City. The extensions available are comprised of the following:

  • Extension option 1 for a further 24 months and
  • Extension option 2 for a further 12 months.

Tenderers to note:

Potential Tenderers should carefully consider their current and future resourcing commitments and any impact this Tender requirement would place on their financial viability before tendering.

The City makes no guarantee of any quantity or volume of work or spend under the proposed contract. Any issued purchase order with $ value provided is indicative only and does not bind the City to that value of spend.

The allocation of work will be in accordance with the process stated in the Buying Rules.
