The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is leading the digitisation of the Western Australian Cabinet process with having successfully delivered electronic access to Cabinet and sub-committee agenda papers for Ministers on secure tablets. 

The next phase is the delivery of the ‘Secure Management and Release of Government Information’ (SMRGI) project. 

The SMRGI project aims to develop a secure, digital end-to-end platform for managing Cabinet information across the Western Australian public sector. This will be crucial in ensuring the secure and consistent handling of highly sensitive information, improving on practices in other Australian jurisdictions.
