Tender Description

ABOUT NORTHERN BEACHES COUNCIL

SERVICES REQUIRED

Northern Beaches Council invites tenders for the carrying out and completion of major works for RFT 2025/064 - South Collaroy Foreshore and Stormwater Improvements

The works include the construction of a new concrete stormwater box culvert between the Collaroy Surf Club carpark and rockpool, a new stormwater outlet adjacent to the rock pool, widening of concrete paved promenade at pool entry area, new pool scupper and reconstruction of a damaged section of existing sandstone block seawall

  • Demolition of existing concrete paved promenade, seawall, beach access stairs, associated services and furniture.
  • Reconstruction of approximately 80 metres of damaged sandstone block seawall
  • Construction of approximately 115 metres of reinforced concrete stormwater box culvert
  • Supply and installation of a new culvert outlet grate and access gate system
  • Construction of new junction pit with wet weather surcharge slot
  • Reconstruction of beach access staircase and waterfront promenade
  • Supply and installation of new balustrade and handrails
  • Works adjacent to Sydney Water sewer main inclusive of all work methodologies as per the Building Plan approval letter in Attachment D7
  • Staging of the works in order to minimise pool closure and loss of DDA access to pool
  • Diversion of stormwater during construction works
  • Dewatering of excavation and on going water quality testing
  • Management of Acid Sulphate Soil as required
  • Reconstruction of promenade and associated services, furniture and landscape finishes
  • Tender submissions are sought for one of two alternative construction methodologies
  • In situ concrete as per the tender documentation
  • Pre cast concrete box culvert, as per successful contractor's future shop drawings and subject to council approval

All valid Tenders will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation criteria set out below. Failure to meet the evaluation criteria that are marked as mandatory will result in excluding the Tender from further evaluation. The evaluation criteria may not necessarily be accorded equal weight.

SITE BRIEFING

A Site briefing will be held on 12th August 2025 at 10:00 AM. Respondents should ensure they review all documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing.

LODGEMENT

Submissions should be lodged in the electronic tender box or in the physical tender box at Northern Beaches Council, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099 by the time and date nominated. Late submissions may not be accepted.
