Seeking supplier of kangaroo commercial tags to support commercial harvesting operations and regulatory compliance.
Project goals
The objective of this tender is to engage a qualified supplier for the provision of commercial kangaroo tags. These tags are a regulatory requirement for licensed commercial kangaroo harvesters, who must affix them to kangaroo carcasses in the field. The tags play a critical role in supporting industry compliance, traceability, and enforcement of licensing conditions under relevant wildlife management regulations.
The successful supplier will be responsible for delivering high-quality, durable tags that meet all applicable standards and specifications to ensure effective use in field conditions.
Scope
The supplier will be required to provide tamper-proof tags designed for attachment to kangaroo carcasses in the field. These tags are essential for meeting regulatory compliance and ensuring traceability within the commercial kangaroo harvesting industry.
The initial delivery will consist of 100,000 tags, to be shipped to Dubbo, NSW by 1 November 2025. Following this, the supplier may be required to deliver up to 400,000 additional tags throughout 2026, with an estimated ongoing demand of approximately 500,000 tags per calendar year.
