The Flood Restoration Portfolio (FRP) is focused on enhancing the flood resilience of Lismore, by restoring and upgrading the existing flood infrastructure such as flood pumps, flood gates and urban stormwater channels used to expedite the removal of stormwater during flood events.

Through the program, Lismore City Council are boosting the pumping capacity and reliability of Lismore’s levee system, which will allow us to keep the community evacuation routes open as long as possible, whilst limiting stormwater damage during events where floodgates are closed.

The Gasworks Pump Station upgrade will address the reliability and operational resilience of Lismore’s Flood infrastructure. This upgrade will raise critical infrastructure above the 2022 flood level to ensure the infrastructure is able to operate for as long as possible during and after a flood event.
