Tender Description
The Council of the City of Sydney (the City) invites tenders for the delivery of Weed Management Services in accordance with this Request for Tender.
The Weed Management Services Contract (Contract) is for weed management services of all public domain areas across the Sydney Local Government Area (LGA), being any publicly accessible outdoor space excluding parks and streetscape gardens. Examples being footways, kerb and gutters, laneways and public squares.
The public domain of the LGA is organised into 67 geographical areas referred to as public domain precincts.
The Contract services also include managing weeds and vegetation on cliffs and walls within both the public domain and parks and open spaces.
The term of the Contract will be for a period of (4) four years, with one option to extend for a further one (1) year. This option to extend will be granted based upon satisfactory performance and at the City's discretion.
A site visit will be organised for interested Tenderers to attend. It will be held on Tuesday 19 August, at 10:30 at 286 Bulwara Road, Ultimo.
The site visit is to the Bulwara Road Dunny Lane to assist with bidding given it is behind a locked gate requiring City approved access.
It is strongly recommended that tenderers visit the sites relevant to this tender. Tenderers must take their own precautions upon visiting the site.
The City is committed to creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned businesses. The City encourages First Nations People businesses, Local SME, Start-ups as well as social enterprises (including Cooperatives) to work with us and respond to this opportunity.
If you have any difficulties, please contact the Procurement Representative in the first instance.
Tenderers are reminded that the City of Sydney is bound by the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), which imposes strict probity requirements on the procurement of goods and services. In accordance with these legislative obligations, the City is unable to enter into negotiations on the terms of a tender or contract after the closing date.
This means the City cannot negotiate changes to pricing, scope, key commercial terms, once tenders have been submitted. To ensure fairness, transparency and equal treatment of all participants, any attempt to influence the evaluation process through post-submission discussions is prohibited.
To that end:
Questions or requests for clarification regarding the RFT must be submitted via the forum only.
If you wish to propose any amendments to the draft contract, these must be clearly detailed and submitted in writing to the Procurement Representative within the timeframe specified in the RFT.
Failure to comply with these instructions may result in your tender being deemed non-conforming.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in maintaining the integrity of the City's tendering process.
