Armidale Council are seeking suitably experienced contractors to undertake remedial work that requires the replacement of the existing runway lighting light fixtures and associated SITs and cables, as well as the installation of field located lightning surge diverters to reduce the possibility of signification damage resulting from future lightning strikes.

The work also includes the replacement of some existing shallow bases for mounting inset light fixtures where the existing bases are out of level, and installation of two new D25 pits to allow the relocation of some existing SIT from pits where located in waterlogged areas.

A pre-tender briefing meeting will be held on Wednesday 6 August 2025 commencing at 09.00a.m. Attendance at the meeting is not mandatory but is highly recommended. The meeting will be held at the Armidale Regional Airport New England Highway, Armidale New South Wales 2350.
