Burwood Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the role of Works Inspector which will provide Superintendent services for the Culture House (Burwood Urban Park, Arts and Cultural Centre) development.

This Request for Tender (RFT) outlines the scope of services and expectations for the Works Inspector, who will be responsible for independently inspecting and reporting on the two stages of construction on behalf of the Council, as required under the Planning Agreement and Construction Contract.

The key responsibilities include:

a. Monitoring and inspecting works in line with the approved contract documentation and statutory obligations

b. Issuing inspector’s certificates and non-conformance notices, as required

Coordinating inspections, meetings, and site reporting in collaboration with Council and the contractors

c. Ensuring compliance with work health and safety, environmental, and legislative requirements

d. Supporting the Principal in administering project milestones, including Practical Completion and the Defects Liability Period

e. Facilitating communication and cooperation across stakeholders to ensure timely, quality delivery of the base build and fit-out works
