Tender Description
To procure supplier services to provision, maintain and support FRNSW with a reliable satellite connectivity solution to support the operation of fire stations and critical NSW communication centres.
Project goals
The objective of this procurement is to engage a suitably qualified supplier to deliver a fully managed satellite communications service that meets the operational, performance, and support needs of FRNSW. The solution must ensure high availability, prioritised handling of turnout communications, and flexibility to scale or evolve in line with future requirements.
Scope
Scope includes:
- Design and provision of a satellite-based connectivity solution.
- Supply, installation, de-commissioning and commissioning of all required hardware, with consideration for site diversity, environmental constraints, and heritage requirements.
- Network provisioning with sufficient bandwidth, throughput, and latency performance to support turnout and other operational data.
- Service scalability to support potential future use cases such as VoIP and Corporate systems, subject to bandwidth and quality of service considerations.
- Ongoing support and maintenance, including monitoring, incident response, preventative maintenance, and service reporting.
- Inventory management and coordination of spare parts to ensure timely equipment replacement when required.
- Completion of the full implementation and transition by no later than 31 May 2026.
