McKinlay Shire Council (the Principal) invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers to carry out concrete works -floodway & culvert repair, pedestrian crossing, footpath and intersection upgrade works in the township of Julia Creek, region as described in detail in Part 5 – Scope.

February 2023, North West Queensland suffered a flood event which caused significant damage to the Principal’s Assets as well as capital works upgrades. The repair and rehabilitation work for the damaged assets are funded under the Queensland State’s Government’s Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) through the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA).

The work comprises 5 packages. Respondents may submit a tender for any one or more packages. If a Respondent wishes to tender for more than one package, the Respondent is only required to submit one tender, but should complete Response Schedule J - Price for all of the packages for which the Respondent wishes to tender.

The Principal may engage one contractor to perform all packages or may engage different contractors to perform different packages.

It is currently intended that the contract will be awarded on or around 1st Sept 2025 with the work to be completed as follows:

• Package 1 – Yorkshire Floodway Upgrade [20 December 2025]
• Package 2 – Matthew Street Intersection [20 June 2026]
• Package 3 – Culvert Replacement Oorindi McKinlay Road [20 December 2025]
• Package 4 – Pedestrian Crossing Upgrade, Burke Street (in front of school) [20 June 2026]
• Package 5 – Road Hump and Footpath Upgrade, Burke Street (between Allison and Quarrel Street) [20 June 2026]
