Tauranga City Council invites Expressions of Interest from experienced developers for the purchase and development of 79 Grey Street, a prime 661m² freehold site in the heart of Tauranga’s rapidly transforming city centre.

Strategically located near the new Te Manawataki o Te Papa civic precinct, the University of Waikato campus, and key transport and commercial infrastructure, the site is zoned City Centre Business Zone, allowing for a wide range of mixed-use development opportunities including commercial, residential, retail, and visitor accommodation.

A key feature of the development will be the delivery of a public pedestrian laneway connecting Grey Street to Durham Street, enhancing city connectivity and activating the urban environment.
