Artist opportunities for Bus Stop Mural Art Commission

The City of Joondalup is seeking to commission six artists to create murals on bus shelters around Joondalup.

The selected artists/artist teams will be responsible for designing and installing mural artworks that will sit within the public realm and celebrate the history and future of the area in line with the City’s Public Art Masterplan. The commissioned artworks at the sites will play an imperative role in creating a sense of identity, place, history and arrival to the area.

The project is scheduled for completion in early 2026.

Emerging artists, First Nations artists or artist teams, artists from culturally and linguistically diverse groups, and artists with lived experience of disability are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

The completed artwork will become a treasured public artwork alongside others in Joondalup's mural collection
