Tender Description

The Bangladesh High Commission is seeking an Expression of Interest from contractors for the construction of a new Chancery, with associated landscaping, site works, building services and security building for their greenfield property at Block 18, Section 86 - Turrana Street, Yarralumla, ACT.

The works will consist of the construction of:

  •  a new 2 storey building with additional basement level parking
  •  roof terraces, shade structures & colonnades
  •  new landscape gardens with courtyards, retaining walls and pedestrian terraces
  •  a new vehicular driveway
  •  a detached security building
  •  interior fit-out for high quality diplomatic and consular offices, a public reception hall, library and kitchens, bathrooms, storage and car park
  •  an outdoor memorial, located within the property
  •  full building services (including some associated off-site works)

The total area of the proposed building (GF + L1 + Basement) = approx. 4000m2

The total area of the detached security building = approx. 35m2

Proponents are to submit an Expression of Interest to the Bangladesh High Commission, including a capability statement demonstrating delivery of quality diplomatic or public buildings in the ACT.

Proponents must:

  •  hold a Class A Building Licence in the ACT
  •  have an active office located in Canberra

Following receipt of the Expression of Interest, the High Commission will advertise the Tender commencement and completion dates and make the tender documents available. The tender period will be 42 calendar days.
