This EOI and Scope of Work details the Company's requirements for the Tiwai Wharf Access Bridge Piles Repairs

Purpose

Due to the severe marine exposure conditions over 50 years of service, corrosion of reinforcement and other deterioration has occurred that requires repair. The intent is to repair the highest priority piles first. Due to the nature of the site, it is possible this work may span several months (years).

Background

The structure known as the "Access Bridge" is a 1.27 km long, mostly single-lane approach trestle providing access from land to the wharf. It comprises of prestressed concrete piles, reinforced concrete pile caps, and prestressed concrete deck beams of double T configuration. The Access Bridge also supports a conveyor, piping, high voltage electrical cables and a walkway. This Access Bridge is an essential asset to the site.
