Tender ID: 590464
Tender Details
Tender Description
This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
We are seeking a quote for enhancements to our online health professional forum, along with 12 months of ongoing website support. The forum is built on Discourse, an open-source platform with comprehensive developer documentation.
ACCN Forum: https://accn.canceraustralia.gov.au
- I’ve attached a screenshot of the logged in experience, which you won’t be able to see, since it’s an invite only platform.
- This is a self-hosted instance of Discourse, hosted in Sydney by our IT provider. Their systems administrator manages both development and production environments and will continue to handle deployments and server-level responsibilities.
Initial Enhancements (First 2 Months sprint):
- Improve the user experience for two-factor authentication (2FA/MFA), which is a mandatory requirement.
- Evaluate the Auth0 plugin as an alternative to the default Discourse authentication, or advise on a better solution.
- Implementing usability and design updates to the forum.
Ongoing Support (Following 10 Months):
We are also seeking up to 20 hours of support per month for tasks including:
- Responding to login and access queries from users via email.
- Implementing usability and design updates to the forum.
- Testing Discourse upgrades on the production environment. (Our IT provider frequently updates to the latest stable version.).
- Addressing platform-related questions from the ACCN team.
Modification to original RFQ above:
- As outlined in the original request, there are two phases of work:
- Initial enhancements (first two (2) months sprint)
Ongoing support (from the third (3rd) month to contract completion)
We would like to keep the allocated 20 hours per month for the first two (2) months of initial enhancements.
We would like to reduce the allocated hours from the third (3rd) month, from 20 hours to up to 10 hours per month, for the remaining months of the contract.
We do not anticipate there will be enough work to fill more than 10 hours per month from the third (3rd) month onwards, however, should work end up being required beyond the anticipated 10 hours per month, a contract variation may be discussed with the supplier.
Estimated start date: Friday, 01 August 2025
Initial contract duration: Until 30 June 2026
Extension term: 12 months
Number of extensions: 1
Working arrangements: Remote
