Cessnock City Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified Civil/Structural Engineering consultants to act as the Principal Design Consultant (PDC) for the development of detailed design documentation for the Apex Park Upgrade in Cessnock, NSW.

The project involves the revitalisation of Apex Park into a safe, inclusive and attractive community space. Key components include hard and soft landscaping, creek interface improvements to Black Creek in consultation with Hunter Water, and the upgrade of an existing building to accommodate a future kiosk with service windows, a kitchenette, and internal toilet facilities. The project has been awarded federal grant funds which will be administered by the state of NSW

The successful consultant will be responsible for coordinating all disciplines, managing stakeholder engagement (including authority liaison), and delivering a fully coordinated, compliant, and constructible design package in line with Council’s vision and relevant standards.

A compulsory pre-tender meeting will be held at Apex Park at 10.00am, Monday 4 August 2025.
