Tender Description
The Council of the City of Sydney ("Council" or "the City") invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the carrying out of professional Insurance Broking and related services in accordance with this request.
Project Overview
The City of Sydney requires a professional brokerage with appropriate national and international experience and resources to design an efficient, cost-effective, and comprehensive insurance program to meet the needs of the City, with sufficient flexibility to respond to either changing City needs or market conditions.
In addition to designing and placing the insurance program, the broker will provide ongoing strategic insurance advice and placement support to the City.
As an example, specific services to be delivered include:
- design and placement of an optimal program of annual insurance for the City
- provide the conduit between the City and insurers for any insurance claims made
- advice and interpretation for the City's policies
- ongoing strategic insurance advice and placement support for duration of contract.
The City's insurance program includes a significant property portfolio, public liability, professional indemnity, commercial fleet, cyber and annual contract works policies as well as a range of smaller policies. The City will require the motor vehicle insurer to provide claims management for all repairs, including those under the City's vehicle excess.
The contract term will be for 3 years, with 2 x 2 year optional extensions.
The purpose of the Expression of Interest process is to determine a shortlist of suitable suppliers to proceed to the select tender stage, from which the preferred supplier will be chosen.
Respondents must submit Expressions of Interest in the manner required by this document.
