SERVICE REQUIRED:

As part of the 2025/2026 Capital Works Program, Council is undertaking the auditorium seating replacement at Glen Street Theatre, Blackbutts Road, Frenchs Forest NSW 2086.

Council is seeking quotes from suitably qualified suppliers to carry out the following outline scope of works:

- Design, manufacture, deliver and install an auditorium seating solution that:

• maximises occupancy within the existing auditorium shell;
• meets BCA requirements;
• meets fire safety requirements and related standards;
• provides for accessible seating solutions in line with legislative requirements and industry expectations; and
• provides for a remove seating solution for in-auditorium technical consoles in centre and rear locations.

- Supply of seating units within a price range of $750 to $950 per seat suitable for a performing arts environment and meet industry expectations for aesthetics, acoustics strength and longevity.

- LED Aisle lighting solution (inclusive of all dimmers / drivers) integrated to end of aisle chairs compliant with BCA requirements.

- Row and seat numbers identification.

- Usher chairs compatible to auditorium seating.

- Provision of materials and seat samples for final approval.

- Spare units for maintenance, 5% minimum.

- Delivery and storage of seats in contractor's premises as required and delivery to site for installation.

- Installation of all seating units and accessories within a mutually agreed timeframe.

- Defect liability period of 12 months.

The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements in this document. To have tenders considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Tender document is provided.

Expected commencement of works 20 July 2026.

A Site briefing will be held on Tuesday 29 July, 12.00pm at Glen Street Theatre, Blackbutts Road, Frenchs Forest NSW 2086. Respondents should ensure they review all documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing.

LODGEMENT:

Submissions should be lodged in the electronic tender box or in the physical tender box at Northern Beaches Council, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099 by the time and date nominated. Late submissions may not be accepted.
