Existing vertical concrete wall panels on the Tumby Bay foreshore have progressively failed under high tide conditions, leading to closure of beach access ramps and the need for an exclusion zone to be implemented on the Tumby Bay foreshore.

The Council has completed design for the construction of a new geosynthetic sand container (sandbag) seawall and new fibre reinforced polymer beach access ramp.

Tenders are sought from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for supply of all materials, plant, labour and equipment for the demolition of existing failed vertical concrete and sandbag seawall, and for the successful construction of the designed works.
