SCOPE OF WORKS/SPECIFICATIONS (SOW)

Ti Tree and its surrounds are part of the Anmatjere language group, which includes the communities of Pmara Jutunta (Six Mile), Nturiya (Station), and Wilora (Stirling), as well as a number of smaller outstations including Adelaide Bore, Alyuen, Petyale, and Woods Camp. Combined, Anmatjere has a population of around 550. The Anmatjere name for the area close to Ti Tree is Aleyaw.

This project consists of the supply and installation of 1 x hard cover shade structure with gable roof and concrete flooring at the Women’s Business area in Pmara Jutunta. Proposed minimum dimension of the shade structure to be 12m length, 8m width, and Eave height of 2.7m. Concrete flooring to match the size of the shade structure and to be at least 100mm in thickness. Further details are provided in the “2.1 More Details” section below.

Design arrangement can be changed according to the S40 certification. However, the minimum sizing is to remain as mentioned above.

The contractor is to allow for all mobilisation and demobilisation costs, including transport, initial site visit, travel, accommodation, machinery hiring, and ongoing administrative costs.

The contractor is to allow for stakeholder engagement to confirm the design and finishes schedule prior to the commencement of works.

Supply and Installation of 1 x hard cover shade structure.

• Contractor to allow for installation, including but not limited to the following, to erect the shade structure of the dimension as prescribed by the principal.

• Fabrication, supply, transportation, construction, and installation of one (1) fixed, hard-cover galvanised or stainless-steel shade structure as per the dimensions specified above. This includes all necessary preliminary works such as site preparation, footing installation, and all related tasks.

• All works, including materials and workmanship, must comply with AS 4100 – Steel Structures, and all other relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Codes (NCC).

• The design must accommodate provisions for future gutter installation for rainwater harvesting. (Note: gutter installation is not included as part of this project.)

• The contractor must allow for the principal to select the roof colour, to be confirmed upon award of the contract.

Concrete Works.

• Supply and installation of a concrete slab and associated footings (if required), including all required formwork and reinforcement for both slab and footings, constructed as per engineering specifications, in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.

• The concrete slab may be slightly larger than the dimensions of the shade structure (8m x 12m) if required, as per relevant Australian standards, to ensure proper support and functionality.

• The minimum thickness of the concrete slab is to be 100mm. 

Site Cleanup and Waste Disposal

• The contractor shall ensure the site is thoroughly cleaned upon completion of works, including the removal and proper disposal of all construction waste and debris. For further details regarding waste management, please visit the CDRC website,

Engineering Certifications and Permits:

• The contractor shall obtain all necessary certifications and permits, in accordance with the Northern Territory Building Act and Regulations, the National Construction Code (NCC), and applicable planning and development guidelines, prior to submitting the final invoice. This includes, but is not limited to:

▪ Building permit

▪ Section 40

▪ Builder Declaration Certificate

▪ Occupancy Permit

▪ Final Inspection Certificate

▪ Any other relevant certificates required.
