Expressions of Interest for an External Independent Member of the Mindarie Regional Council Audit and Risk Committee for a two-year period. 

Applicants qualified and experienced in financial management and internal control, business management, governance or corporate risk management, and may be practicing or recently retired from their respective profession.

Exposure to local government financial management and reporting is not essential, but will be highly regarded.

The Local Government Act 1995 allows for payment of an attendance fee to Committee members. For a Band 3 local government, the permitted attendance fee is $450 per meeting. Reimbursement of reasonable expenses is also permissible in accordance. with the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 and the applicable Salaries and Allowances Tribunal determination.

Applicants will be required to submit a letter expressing interest and a current CV. Expressions of interest will be presented to the first available. Audit and Risk Committee after close of applications.
