Skate Park Feasibility Study
Tender ID: 590088
Tender Details
Tender Description
As part of the 2025/26 Annual Business Plan and Budget (ABP&B), the City of Burnside resolved to undertake a feasibility study of Linden Avenue Reserve to assess its suitability for a skate park designed for all age groups. The feasibility study is to consider if a skate park is feasible both with and without a road closure of a portion of Linden Avenue (Western end). Linden Avenue has hosted the portable pump track successfully on a number of occasions over the last 3 years and has been selected by Council as a potential location due to the absence of green space that would need to be removed to accommodate a skate park facility.
The project will involve a number of stages, with hold points (milestones where work is paused for approval before proceeding) as indicated below:
- Stage 1a: Feasibility study with rendered image (for illustrative example purpose only)
- Stage 1b: Peer review assessment
- Hold point pending Council decision
- Stage 2: Concept design, cost estimate, community engagement plan, road closure investigation
- Hold point pending Council decision
- Stage 3: Community engagement.
The Consultant may be required for all stages, or only stage 1 or stage 1 and 2, depending on the outcomes of Council decisions at the indicated hold points.
