Toowoomba Regional Council (Council) recognises that trees provide numerous environmental, economic, aesthetic, and social benefits to the region and the community. Council manages more than 50,000 tree assets located in streets and open spaces throughout the Toowoomba Region.

Guided by the Council Controlled Tree Management Policy, Council seeks to sustain these values by being a steward and effective manager of a diverse, sustainable, and vibrant tree population that is in keeping with the unique characteristics of urban areas across the region. To achieve this, ensuring timely maintenance is provided to newly planted trees within the urban forest is required. TRC is seeking to engage a contractor(s) to undertake tree establishment maintenance works (mulching and supplementary watering) of trees which are within the establishment period within the urban forest.

The scope of work includes the following:

• Routine establishment and maintenance of 1,809 trees. Details on locations and required interventions can be found in Appendix 1 and Appendix 2.

• Ongoing maintenance for trees in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year will begin in September or October 2025, with the exact start date to be agreed upon.
