Scope of Works

1. The Principal requires a Contractor(s) to supply bitumen seal with double/double seal services on Warri Gate Road chainage from Ch. 56.80 – 62 (5.2 km) approximately 168 km from Thargomindah to site in accordance with the Specification.

2. The Principal requires a Contractor(s) to supply bitumen for the reseal services on Bundeena Road from Ch.5.2-10.2 approximately 5 km from Thargomindah.

3. The Principal requires a Contractor(s) to supply bitumen for the reseal services on Innamincka Road from Ch.58.730-Ch 61 roughly about 323 km from Thargomindah on the start of the first section.

All fees and charges necessary for the successful completion of the works shall be deemed to be included in the prices and rates submitted. This includes all costs associated with the administrative management and full site supervision necessary for the successful Contractor to fulfil all of its obligations including but not limited to those referenced as well as any and all other matters incidental to undertaking bitumen sealing of the Principals’ road pavement. A brief summary scope of works is shown below:

•  Mobilisation / Demobilisation
•  Seal design – (traffic data will be provided to successful Tenderer before sealing schedule)
•  Brooming of pavement surface for seal and reseal works
• Supply, cart, incorporate, heat and spray bituminous material using AMC7 for the bottom coat and S45R for the top coat
•  Supply and delivery 14mm and 10mm of precoated cover aggregates
•  For Reseal using S45R with 10mm pre-coated aggregates
•  Load, spread and roll cover aggregates
•  Post-spread sweeping and removal of loose aggregates
•  Construction / management of stockpile sites

No work is to proceed past these Hold Points without written and signed approval from the Council.
