2025/26 Rural Road Resheeting

The Rural Network Road Resheeting Project is a key initiative of Isaac Regional Council (Council) and forms part of Council’s annual capital works program. It is designed to address the ongoing renewal needs of the unsealed road network across the Isaac region, both on the Local and state-controlled roads. These rural roads are vital to the daily operations of local industries, especially agriculture and mining, as well as providing essential access for residents, services, and emergency vehicles.

As part of the 2025–2026 capital program and RMPC program of works, this project targets priority sections of the unsealed road network.

The resheeting works will include gravel supply and cartage, reshaping of the existing road surface to proper formation, and improvements to drainage.

This project demonstrates Isaac Regional Council’s continued commitment to delivering safe, reliable infrastructure and supporting economic activity in its rural and remote communities. Works will be planned and delivered with a focus on quality outcomes, environmental responsibility, and minimal disruption to road users.
