Tender Description
Blacktown City Council is seeking proposal from suitably qualified and experienced person(s), firms or entities to provide inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment.
Project goals
a) Fit for the purpose: our premises achieve the following desired outcomes:
- reliable fire safe equipment and systems for occupants
- durable functions of council's assets
b) Compliance: comply to the fire safety legislation including but not limited to qualifications of technical staff, quality of issued Annual Fire Safety Statements
c) Cost efficiency of services: Meet our expectations set out on subsection 1.4 of the Annexure A of the service agreement
d) Planning and punctuality of services: effectively plan and schedule the required routine services and comply with the relevant legislations and Australian standard in regard to the frequency of routine services as required in the section 9 of Annexure A of the service agreement
e) Bringing experience: provide advices, expertise and skills to ensure the requested services are performed as per specifications
f) Quality: meet or exceed the quality standards set out in the contract specifications or the best practise in the building fire safety industry.
g) Time and budget: deliver the services within specified time and price, and to rectify and resolve with Principal any departures
h) Professionalism: no disturbance or adversely affect the occupants of the premises
i) Environment and sustainability: sustainable disposal of chemicals or contaminated water
j) Work, Health and Safety: comply with contractual and statutory requirements
Scope
The successful respondent will be responsible in providing the routine services to Council by regular inspection, testing and maintenance of the fire protection system and equipment as per legislative requirements.
The required services includes asset database management with supply, installation, replacement or removal of fire safety equipment and corrective & reactive maintenance services.

Date: 30/07/2025 - Addendum No. 1 is added to the RFQ package. It consists of responses to corresponding request for information received.
