Rockhampton Regional Council (Council) is collaborating with Central Queensland University (CQU) and the Minister for Economic Development Queensland (MEDQ) to undertake master planning for residential (and potential mixed-use) development for three identified parts (the Investigation Areas) of the CQU North Rockhampton Campus.

The purpose of this project is to progress more detailed land use, infrastructure and development planning of the residential (and any mixed-use) opportunities that may inform future planning and investment decisions including potential amendments to the PDA Development Scheme to better facilitate development of the identified sites. It is important that the project works toward improving development and investment readiness, including stakeholder ability to capitalise on current State and Federal housing policy, programs and initiatives.
