The Rockhampton Regional Council (Council) is commencing with the final closure of the “Piggy Back” expansion area of the Lakes Creek Road Landfill (LCRL) site.

The final closure of the “Piggy Back” expansion area of the LCRL is being undertaken as part of a long-term plan to ensure the development and closure of a state of the art waste management facility that will service the Rockhampton Region well into the future while minimising the overall effect on the environment.

The work detailed in this Tender is for the Works associated with the preparation and construction of Stage 1 Capping and associated Stormwater Management Infrastructure.

All product/brand names stated in Tender Documentation shall be read as ‘or equal or equivalent’ unless noted otherwise.

A single joint site inspection will be held at 10:00am Wednesday 23rd July 2025 meeting at the front of the Lakes Creek Road Waste Management Facility located at 152 Lakes Creek Road, The Common QLD 4701.
