Tender Description

The Sheedy Road Upgrade project will upgrade Sheedy Road, from Old Port Wakefield Road to O’Loughlin Road, to an urban standard like the western end of Sheedy Road.

The Project will include pavement surface, kerb and water table, drainage, footpaths and street lighting. This upgrade is critical in supporting the urban growth within this part of Virginia.

The project deliverables for the reconstruction of Sheedy Road are:

  • New sealed road surface in accordance with the urban design standard with a 7.6m wide carriageway (from kerb face to kerb face),
  • New kerb and water table in accordance with the urban design standard,
  • New 1.5m wide footpath,
  • New stormwater infrastructure,
  • New street lighting to urban residential design standard,
  • New verge between the back of kerb and footpath.
