The Council has raised issues regarding the longevity and operational effectiveness of the Lockhart River cemetery. There is a recognised necessity for the prolonged utilisation and potential enhancement of the present location. The Lockhart River Cemetery, which rests within the Council Deed of Grant in Trust (DOGIT) on Lot 312 SP277155, is the focus of this initiative.

The works will involve analysis of the current premises and its potential, proposing ideas for extended future use and growth, pinpointing the legislative stipulations that would influence a Development Application, and producing preliminary designs for the augmentations that would incorporate both infrastructure and aesthetic improvements.
