Tender Description
City of Darwin has committed to a road resurfacing programming in the 2025-26 FY. This forms part of the Best Practice and Sustainable Infrastructure Strategic Direction of the Municipal Plan.
This Request for Tender is for the design, construction, engineering, and certification of road resealing in various locations across the Darwin Municipality.
Standard specification for works
Unless otherwise specified, this contract utilises the most recent Northern Territory Government’s Standard Specification for Roadworks (Refer Section 4 Standards). In the case where there is an update to the Standard Specification during the life of this Contract, the updated Standard Specification shall be applied.
In addition to the requirements of the Standard Specifications, the Contractor is referred to Section 4 Standards.
Project Report
The Contractor is required to undertake and submit a Project Report for each site. The Contractor is responsible for submitting a final Project Report per site that combines the parts.
This project report will include:
• Pre works investigations
- Dilapidation report, with pictures
- Condition of the road, with pictures
- Seal Design (for Spray Sealing works)
- Pavement design
• During works:
- Progress pictures
- Issues encountered (if any)
• Post completion
- Confirmation of Binder type and aggregate used
- Actual spread rate of aggregates during spray sealing
- ITP’s
- Test results
- As constructed drawings
