Roma Mitchell Secondary College are in need of purchasing a School Owned Bus to assist with transporting approximately 21 students around to fulfil extra curricula needs.

The specification for the required School Bus (“vehicle”) is based on functional, legislative and qualitative requirements; it is not restrictive and ensures the required standards are met. The standards include Australian Design Rules (ADR), the Road Traffic Act, and departmental policy requirements. ADRs include ADR rollover requirements, emission controls, emergency exits etc. where applicable.

The Road Traffic Act requires that all vehicles are fitted with appropriate signage, lighting (hazard warning lights etc.) tyre sizes, emergency exits.
