Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The Net Zero Economy Authority (Authority) is seeking to support local businesses in the Hunter region to participate in and maximise opportunities from the development and ongoing maintenance of transmission projects in the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), the Novocastrian Offshore Wind Farm, the Central-West Orana REZ, and the New England REZ. The Authority is seeking to do this by developing a document that lists the profiles of businesses in the Hunter region that are current participants/suppliers, or are potential participants/suppliers who have the capability to work in and/or have expressed their interest in:

  • the planning and site preparation for transmission projects;
  • the manufacturing, installation, and/or ongoing maintenance of transmission towers; and
  • the manufacturing, installation, and/or ongoing maintenance of electrical balance of plant, including but not limited to cabling and wiring, substations, and transformers

for the Hunter-Central Coast REZ, the Novocastrian Offshore Wind Farm, the Central-West Orana REZ, and/or the New England REZ. Where there are no Hunter-based businesses that are potential suppliers to or participants in the abovementioned activities, the document should then provide the profiles of businesses from other parts of NSW or, failing that, other parts of Australia.

 The Authority expects the supplier to actively identify relevant businesses within scope and engage with each to understand specific current and future opportunities based on the existing and future capability of each business. In undertaking proactive engagement with these businesses, the Authority is also seeking to gain a greater understanding of whether there are any challenges and constraints that would act as a barrier to businesses being able to participate in and maximise these opportunities.
