Scope of Work:

Rio Tinto require a supplier to provide consultancy services (architectural and engineering services) for the refurbishment of the accommodation blocks and various central facilities at the Wandoo Village, located at the township of Pannawonica.

The village comprising:

• 36 x accommodation blocks, with a total of 140 single accommodation rooms and 1 universal accomodation room
•  1 x ablution block
•  1 x gymnasium, which is currently not in use
•  1 x ice room
• 4 x communal laundry blocks
•  1 x medical area
•  1 x multipurpose sport court
•  1 x plant room (mechanical, electrical, communication and fire), excluded from project scope of work.
•  1 x pool store, which is currently not in use
•  1 x reception and commercial office
•  1 x recreation room

The condition of existing assets at the Wandoo village is dated and aged and no longer meets the expected level of modern amenity and functionality. The purpose of the refurbishment is to uplift and modernise the accommodation and central facilities to align with the Rio Tinto portfolio wide refurbishment programme and standards.

The consultant is required to undertake all necessary activities (but not limited to) such as investigations, stakeholder consultation, design, reporting and documentation to enable Rio Tinto to issue for tender. All works shall be performed in accordance with the RT standard specifications, engineering procedures and compliant with the relevant Australian Standards.

The scope of work described is a summary of the goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto. The specific requirements may change at Rio Tinto’s absolute discretion.

As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, suppliers will be notified of any changes prior to award.

Your EOI response may be referenced or re-used in the next six months if a similar scope of work is required by Rio Tinto.
